Current NORTH COUNTRY QUARTER HORSE STALLIONS

KT A DASHING GENT AKA: JACK

KT A Dashing Gent, aka "Jack," is our main herd sire at North County Quarter Horses. He is an own son of A Streak of Fling, who passed away in 2024. This stallion produced offspring that have earned over $10.5 million, earned AQHA championships, and completed at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

"Jack's" dam, A Famous Lady, is a daughter of Dash Ta Fame and a granddaughter of Dash for Cash. "Jack" is a maternal half-brother to Famous Lemon Drop, who is competing at the highest level in barrel racing and is ridden by Stevi Hillman.

"Jack" is quiet minded and calm. He has a big motor and has yet to show quit, is super smooth and exceptionally fast. With good foot and bone, a nice tall wither, and a great head, we are impressed by this stallion every day. He possesses a beautiful bay roan color that he passes to his foals. We are expecting big things and looking forward to seeing "Jack's" offspring at all levels of competition and ranch work.

KT A Dashing Gent is currently undergoing training by Tevin AAAA to compete in barrel racing events. He has had good success and continues to finish in the money.

PC FROSTED RUNNER AKA: RUNNER

PC Frosted Runner is a 2020 palomino son of PC Tully Front. He stands 16 HH and weighs 1250 pounds. We purchased this stallions to replace our old stud, the great Kay Cross Cajun. We expect "Runner" to produce horses with a lot of speed and agility and the ability to compete in roping and barrel racing events. We are very pleased with his first foals. These foals are very attractive, trainable, and friendly.
"Runner" bears a strong resemblance to his famous grandsire Sunfrost. "Runner's" sire, PC Tully Frost, competed and excelled in both roping and barrel racing and is now siring major contenders in both arenas.

"Runner's" dam, PC Reddy to Run, is a pretty grey mare in the Cowen Boys broodmare bands. Her dam, RH Run Alexis, is a producer of calf horses, PRCA bull dogging horses, and 1D barrel horses.

There are a lot of proven performers in "Runner's" pedigree. We expect "Runner" to produce foals that can compete in timed events and be reliable saddle horses on the ranch.

We would like to thanks T4 Quarter Horses, Cowen Brothers LLC for selling us this fine stallion.

SR KINENOS BADGER AKA: STETSON

SR Kinenos Badger is a 2020 brown son of Kinenos Moon. He stands 14.3 HH and weighs 1150 pounds. "Stetson" was purchased to add more cow horse genetics into our stallion battery. We have had speed horses and foundation genetics for years and it is time to blend in the cow horse sense and quietness that "Stetson" possesses. We believe in the versatility of the American Quarter Horse, and "Stetson" represents an outcross for us and a chance to maintain the quality and versatility in our breeding program. We expect "Stetson" to produce reliable ranch horses that are also contenders in the rodeo arena.

SR Kinenos Badger's sire is Kinenos Moon, who stands as a senior sire at the legendary King Ranch in Texas. Kinenos Moon has been the foundation of King Ranch's breeding program and is an eighth generation descendant of Old Sorrel. Kinenos Moon traces back to the famous King Ranch running horses Depth Charge and Bold Venture, and sires horses with explosive speed and athletic ability. "Stetson's" sire has also sired RCHA and RHAA money earners along with the 2nd highest seller ($100,000) at the 2021 Return to the Remuda sale.

SR Kinenos Badger's dam is Les Badger, another King Ranch bred horse. She traces to Colonel Freckles, King P234, and Peppy San Badger. Her dam,  Luna Badger, is a RHAA money earner and is a full sister to Kinenos Moon.

We are crossing "Stetson" on our foundation bred mares and are very pleased with the results. His colts are correct, attractive, and trainable and we expect them to be reliable, gentle saddle horses for the and ranch - yet solid competitors in the arena.

We would like to thank Jay and Tina Stetson, Stetson Ranch of Fromberg, MT for selling us this amazing stallion.

KAY CROSS CAJUN AKA: CAJUN

"Cajun" has been a part of NCQH since 2014 and we could not be more proud to own this stallion and offer his foals to you. He is an own son of the late Frenchmans Guy out of a Cash Treat daughter. He is speed bred on both sides of his pedigree and you can see that he passes that speed and power to his offspring. "Cajun" is 15.2hh, with excellent feet and bone structure. His is a big horse with a big motor. He has a kind eye, beautiful head, and excellent conformation. Not only does he possess these qualities in himself, he passes them on in his foals.
