Annual Production Sale - Billings Livestock - October 26th
Annual Production Sale - Billings Livestock - October 26th
This is our 15th sale going through Billings Livestock Horse Sale. It's the greatest place to sell horses. Come see our babies at Billings Livestock, Billings, MT on Thursday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 26 under the big barn.
Once again, the first foal we are offering in our sale is a gorgeous filly out of our “Luna” mare. “Luna” produces the sweetest, kindest babies and this girl is no exception. Sired by Back In Da Cash, this filly is a nice blend of speed, cowhorse, and foundation genetics.
LF DADDYS CASH has a nice head, long back, and will mature at around 15’2 HH. She will be a big girl with some speed and agility to go with that gorgeous roan color. Amanda Hennessey bought last year’s full sister for a barrel horse prospect. The “Cash” daughters are a good investment as they will do it all: rope, run, or ranch. They also grow up to be great broodmares.
‘Lucky’ is another daughter of Black In Da Cash. She is a pretty sorrel with unusual markings, a lot of athletic ability, and a great pedigree. Her dam has really crossed well with Black In Da Cash and is one of our prettiest mares.
LF BORN TO BE LUCKY has a full brother that we sold into Canada as a stallion prospect and a full sister that we kept for ourselves. This filly won’t be real big, maturing at 14’3 HH, but she will be gritty.
The Black In Da Cash babies are smart, trainable, and have a kind eye. We almost kept this one for ourselves, but unfortunately we can’t keep them all. “Cash” is getting older, and there won’t be many more up for sale. We love his daughters, so don’t miss out on a chance to have one of your own.
We are very proud to offer this ‘not so ordinary guy’. He is a powerful son of Black In Da Cash and out of a Frenchmans Guy granddaughter. He has a great rope horse pedigree in a fancy buckskin package. LF IMNO ORDINARY GUY will be a real head turner when he grows up, especially with his good head, short neck, and huge hip. His dam is one of our very best mares; she traces back to Sun Frost and King P-234, and “Cash” really crosses well on these Frenchman Guy’s granddaughters. The Colby Gines family is roping on a full brother to this colt in Arizona and Wyoming. They really like their colt and they have had a lot of success. We also have a full sister in our broodmare band. This colt could be a stallion prospect.
Here is a colt that is a nice son of KT A Dashing Gent. “LF REDBULL N MARLBOROS” is the only son of “Jack” in this year’s sale, and he is a good one. He has good foot and bone, a strong back, a nice head, and a huge hip. This colt should really have some speed. The Streak Of Fling horses are doing well in roping and barrel racing. We just lost Streak of Fling last month and here is a good grandson out of a foundation bred mare. Hancock Silver King was a great stallion and a great producer; and once again, we have a full sister we kept back for our broodmare band. Kelly Owens has a full sister that she bought for the arena. This colt will be right around 15 HH at maturity and soggy.Suitably named, LF REDBULLNMARLBOROS has the potential to be a real cowboy's horse.
If you are looking for a colt with some size and bone, then you have to check this guy out! Sired by Black In Da Cash and out of a good Hancock bred mare by Roany Gumbo Dancer, this colt is a great prospect. He will have some speed and athleticism, maturing to be at least 15’3 HH. LF HOT CHOCOLATE will get noticed, especially with his pretty black color. This colt is one that will earn his keep on the ranch and still be ready to go to town and win some money.
Here is a broodmare that brings home a big shapey baby every fall. “Maude” is the last of our Roany Gumbo Dancer daughters. “Gumbo” produced some great horses for us, including a gray son that just retired from the Dallas, TX police force. He carried the American flag in their parades and helped with crowd control. This is his sister, and she is a hero in her own right. She has produced many good foals for us, including four daughters that are in our broodmare band. Her impact on our program will be felt for a long time.MISS ROANY GUMBO still produces great colts; look at her Black In Da Cash son that is in the sale. “Maude” has a lot of gas left in the tank, she just needs a little hay in the winter. She sells pasture exposed to Black In Da Cash for aMay 2025 baby.
A stunner Indeed! ‘Wendy’ is as flashy as a chestnut can get as she just has a “look” about her, and has had that look from day one. She is a daughter of KT A Dashing Gent and out of a big Frenchmans Guy granddaughter. Streak Of Fling crosses very well with Frenchmans Guy, and this filly is a prime example. She has a great head, kind eye, and a lot of leg. If you are looking for a mare with a big motor, then here she is. LF WAFFLEHOUSE WENDY is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a roping or barrel racing prospect. The Trevin Schriver family has a full sister and the Kevin Alias family bought a full brother last year. Both families love their prospects, and are repeat buyers for our program. This is the only “Jack” daughter in the sale and not a filly you want to pass by.
Here is a nice brown colt out of first time parents. He is not as big and bloomy as some of the other colts, but he could be one of the very best. Sired by PC Frosted Runner, a Sun Frost bred colt we purchased to replace the great Kay Cross Cajun stud we had, “Runner” brings some speed, size, and performance to our program. This colt’s dam is a very young mare sired by our stud “Jack”. She is bred for speed with Streak of Fling and Frenchmans Guy as her papers. We think this will be a good cross; and with this colt as the result, we like what we see. He has a nice head, good foot and bone, and a strong back and hip. He is a colt with a soft, kind eye and is very friendly. We think LF HOLD MY BEER has a bright future and is a great prospect.
This is a nice son of Black In Da Cash with some color and a speed pedigree. If you want a black colt that can flat out fly, here is your ticket. The “Cash” sons are very intelligent and friendly; this colt definitely fits the bill. LF THIS ONZA WINNER is a great prospect for the ranch or the arena and should mature at around 15’2 HH. ‘Winner’ is our last Cash stallion in this year’s sale; don’t miss your chance to own a good one.
This filly is the last foal we are offering this year, but that doesn’t mean she lacks quality. And yes, she is KINDA CUTE. This filly is a daughter of “Stetson”, our young Kinenos Moon son. Kinenos Moon stood at the King Ranch in Texas and sired many fine horses over the years, including the 2nd high seller at the Return to the Remuda Sale for $100,000.00. Kinenos Moon is now frozen semen only, but here is one of his granddaughters. We bought “Stetson” to add some cow horse genetics to our program and we are thrilled with his first crop. “Cutey’s” dam is a young Frenchmans Guy granddaughter that produced a nice rope horse prospect last year that went to Darby, MT. LF KINDA CUTE is curious, sweet, and will grow into a nice saddle horse with some speed and agility. She will really make a nice ride and working horse.
This mare has been a good producer for us and it is easy to see why. She is a big black Easy Jet bred mare with a lot of leg and a deep cinch. Her full sister “Missy” was one of the mares that Tenley Epperson campaigned in college. We acquired her from Tenley and she carries her family’s brand. Sweetie has a daughter in our broodmare band and has produced several good foals for our sale; including a blue roan filly that went to Jerry Brewer and a sorrel colt that was one of my favorites who now lives with the Blace Martin family in Wyoming. “Sweetie” has a little arthritis due to a rattlesnake bite, but it doesn’t bother her very much. She still travels well, but she deserves a little more care than we can give her. SWEETIE sells exposed to KT A Dashing Gent for a May 2025 foal.
